Suggestion for Sports in School
Hello, I am David. Me and my friends have thought that we should have sports teams for our school, we should have either:
-a soccer team
-a football team.
The soccer and football team should be only for grades 6 and 7, just like how there are grade 6/7 volleyball and basketball teams. Maybe we could have some more teams but these are the main teams. We can practice in the gym or outside during lunch. Our school needs more equipment in the gym and all the classes need more exercise. If we do have sports teams we'll need better basketballs and more footballs and we'll need jerseys. We could have practice at 3:00 to 4:00 and we could have it on Mondays, Tuesdays, and on Thursdays.

Embarrassing Moments section: Nutella Nonsense
When I was little, my parents went away a lot... usually I would go to my best friend's house when they where gone. One time my parents were going to Florida and me and my friend. Her name was Mandy. We had the whole week planned out!!! Laser tag on Wednesday, the mall on Thursday, tea and cookies on Friday, etc. It was Thursday. I loved the mall!!! I was so excited, we had the restaurant booked and everything. Just before we left, Mandy and I were hungry. We both loved Nutella, so we toasted some toast and jammed on the chocolatey goodness. I set mine down on a chair to put my shoes on and SPLAT ! Oh no! I sat on my toast.. with Nutella splattered on it. Of course, we had to proceed to the mall, but I was so sad! The whole time, people laughed at me. it was so bad, a little girl even called me poopy pants!!! Thankfully, I had enough money to buy new pants.

Cousin Trauma
One weekend I went to sleep over at my super hot cousin's house because my parents were out of town and he just so happens to be a gymnast just like me. He was teaching me some cool new moves to try. When I was showing him my press and he was showing me to plank on my hands of a table we heard like crack or a ripping sound but I didn't find anything so I just went long with my planks till we were getting ready for bed and his little sister shouted "------- your pants!" turns out there was a huge rip in the you know what area. I can't look at my cousin with a serious face anymore.
Bathroom break
I was camping one summer and my dad wondered if I wanted to go for a bike ride with him. Of course!!! Just quickly phone mom, here’s my phone. And we were off on our trip. About half way through, I had to go to the bathroom. He told me to wait but I couldn’t!!! Fine, he said…there’s an outhouse about 50 meters up. I rode as fast as I could while behind me faded. Finally!!! I’ve never been so happy to see a bathroom!! I walked in…oh darn!!! Dad’s phone was still in my pocket… but not anymore!!! I stared down into the outhouse… the phone of my dad’s has a new home... the bottom of an outhouse. My dad was okay with it, but at first he thought I was teasing. Once we got back to camp, I had to announce to everyone that I dropped my dad’s iPhone in the outhouse. But worst of all, my crush was there camping with us…worst camping trip ever!!!
Locked Away
Every Thursday I go to a pitching clinic for softball. One time when I was at pitching I had to go to the bathroom so when I was walking to the bathroom I noticed the custodian was working in the girls room. So I went in and the custodian came out, then I went into a stall and clearly the custodian didn’t clean it, so when I tried to open the door it wouldn’t budge. I tried again, still nothing, the lock was jammed. I couldn’t get out so I thought that if I waited the lock would magically unlock and I would be free, well that didn’t happen, so I had no choice but to crawl under the stall. GROSS!!!! So I got down on the ground and started making my way under when the custodian walked in, I must been in there so long that THE CUSTODIAN thought I must have gone back to pitching in the gym. All I could do was stand up and tell him the lock got stuck so I had to crawl under, he just laughed and left the bathroom. Every week I go pitching and he is there cleaning and every time I go to the bathroom he looks at me and laughs. I will never go to the bathroom there again.

Sports Update
This is BHD sports news. A few nights ago the Canucks squeaked a win against the St. Louis blues. The Canucks didn't get an early lead till Zac Dalpe put the puck in the back of the St.Louis net minder. Then the St. Louis Blues pushed back with a goal by Alex Pietrangelo. Then in the 3rd period Jason Garrison took a huge clapper from the point which found its way in the net. That leaded to a 2-1 win over the St. Louis Blues. Which took over the 5 game losing streak. Tonight the Canucks have to face the big LA Kings. We suspect they might lose. However, Quick may not be in net due to injury.

My favorite cat: by Kelsy
Birman
The Birman cat falls somewhere between Siamese and the Persian in its character. The Birman has a long silky coat of fur. They are gentle, individualistic and extremely loyal. The Birman has almost round, deep clear blue eyes. Their grooming is relatively easy with regular brushing and combing. All Birmans are born white and they start developing their colors at the age of one week if they have a dark color and at the age of four-teen days or more if they have a clear color.
My favorite cat: Izzy
My favorite cat is a blue Persian. They are very fluffy and have a very unique color about them -- it’s like a brown with a little shade of blue. Their faces are somewhat squashed against their faces so they look super cute. Most blue Persians have orange-red eyes and small ears. They became very popular in royalty because Queen Elizabeth had 2 blue Persians and Princess Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein was an enthusiastic breeder. Caring for Persian cats is important because their fur is thick it’s very hard to wash them. Grooming daily would help keep them clean. The blue Persian was one of the first Persian cats to be established as a breed. In the late 1800s, it became asset for the wealthy and aristocratic. Blue Persians and regular Persian cats are very expensive. They can range from 500$-1000$ and over. I wish I could have a blue Persian but they are just too expensive.
My favorite cat: Alanna
The sphynx
The sphynx is known for its lack of fur. Most sphynxes have wedge shaped heads and sturdy bodies. Sphynxes have a high level of energy, they are very intelligent and also very curious. Bathing your sphynx is very important. You should bathe your sphynx weekly. Sphynxes should never be allowed outside because they can develop sunburns and skin damage. Sphynxes originate from Egypt.
CAT CARE
The top 4 combs for cats are: Flea remover, a slight groomer, Ball-tipped brush, Slicker tail brush. We recommend IAMS cat food; it is very good for the teeth. Also Friskies cat food, it’s better for the health and older cats and yummy flavors. Cleaning is very easy. Clean the cat once a month.
TAIL TALK
Angry; tail strait up and fully puffed out or bristled.
Greetings and affection; tail straight up and quivering a bit.
Intensely afraid; tail held and puffed out or bristled.
Interested and intrigued; tail straight up with tip tilted to one side.
Scared and fearful; tail arched and puffed out or bristled.
Excited and interested; tail straight up or raised and curved like a question mark.
