Airport Accident

Last summer when I was returning from Hawaii I had a little accident at the baggage area….. it was really late at night and I was about to drift off, but right then the plane landed. It was a struggle to keep my eyes open let alone walk without falling into the person next to me. Once we got of the plane my family and I headed towards the baggage pickup. Like I said before, it was LATE. My suitcase was blue with red polka dots, and it just so happens someone else returning from Hawaii on the SAME airplane has the SAME bag. When I saw mine coming down the chute I followed it around until I could find an open area to grab it and meet my family back at the front. As I was getting there, there were two people yelling at each other behind me. I turned to look for a minute or so and when I turned around I completely forgot about my bag and grabbed what I thought was mine. So once I got it I was heading over to our car. I stopped to get my extra headphones out (I lost the others on the plane) I unzipped it and I knew something was very wrong. I saw that these weren't my clothes. They were all black and goth and full of skulls. All of a sudden I felt a tap on my back and I turned around and I saw this guy there, dressed in all-black smoking a cigarette. i thought he was going to knock me out but no. He said" um… I think you have my bag". I was in shock handing it to him. I was so embarrassed but I gotta admit it was kinda funny seeing a goth person walking around with a polka dot suitcase.

Cheerios are awesome. It does not take long to have them (meaning you don’t have to wait before you eat them) and they are the perfect shape, a circle! Also when you eat them they are just the right size so you don’t get too many in your mouth in one scoop, you get just the perfect bite of heaven. As well, when you pour the milk they don’t splash all over you and you don’t have to douse them in milk in order to get them to that right level of sogginess. They are whole grain so they are good for you but they don’t taste like it, because sometimes when you have to eat whole grain bread it doesn’t taste good. Your parents will buy them for you because they are good for you and they aren’t all sugary like other cereals. So next time that you are looking in the pantry for the breakfast that you are going to have, just remember that cheerios are the best option to have, because it is like a party in your (and my) mouth.

Chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients

Original recipe makes 1 1/2 dozen

2 cups all-purpose flour                   1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt                              3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

           

1 cup packed brown sugar              1/2 cup white sugar

           

1 tablespoon vanilla extract                        1 egg

           

1 egg yolk                                           2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1) First set your oven degrees at 350 F

2) Then add flour, baking soda & salt in a bowl, and then set aside for further      Instructions

3) In a medium bowl add melted butter, white sugar and brown sugar till well mixed. After you will add your vanilla, egg and egg yolk until a light and creamy blend. Then mix in the flour, and baking soda and salt in with your bowl that you are using at the moment. Now you can add you chocolate chips and mix.

4) Now that you are done place your dough on your pans and let your cookies cook for 15-17 minutes or until edges are lightly toasted. After they are cooked you may put on racks or leave on tray, let them cool then enjoy your cookies.

PROBLEMS WITH LEGO

Hi, my name is Jared and today I will discuss some problems with Lego. Although Lego is really fun, it is really expensive. For example, I saw the Death Star at the Lego store and it was $500.00! Even if it's rare you can't put the price that high for just a pile of Lego bricks that cost 5 cents to make. 

Another problem with Lego is that sometimes in the big sets, a couple pieces are missing and sometimes they are important pieces. For example, I have the Simpsons house and it was missing 3 two pieces that I really needed to complete the set. The set is rare because the company didn't make a lot of the Simpsons houses and you need all the pieces to make it worth something. I love Lego, but there are some problems that the company needs to fix.

This BHJ sports news, reporting from Vancouver. Last game the Canucks played the Calgary Flames. Both teams started their 4th line grinders to start the game. Two seconds into the game everybody on the ice dropped the gloves and started to fight. The rook Kelin Lain was playing in his first N.H.L game and got the start, but he only got to play two seconds of the game and was kicked out for fighting. The thing was his parents flew across the country just to watch their son play in his first game in the bigs. During the 1st intermission John Tortorella chose to storm into the Calgary hallway to look for Bob Hartley but was held back by the Calgary players and coaching staff. Going into the second period the Canucks got their first goal of the game. Storming back came the Calgary Flames in the second when they capped their second geno of the game. the game went to overtime and both to settle for a shootout, both teams had a good chance to win but in the end chris higgins won the game for the Canucks. The Seahawks and 49ers went for the NFC championship yesterday in Seattle, Washington. The stakes were as high as they could be.

Seattle won the coin toss and chose to receive the football, but all would not be as the Seahawks hoped when the first snap of the game turned into a strip sack for Aldon Smith and the 49ers who, with their great field position, kicked a field goal.

In the second quarter the 49ers got the ball back and made it into the redzone and Dixon leaped the Seahawks blitz and made it into the end zone......or did he?

Dixon was marked down at the 1 yard line, but on the 4th end goal the 49ers ran the same play and this time it was successful and Dixon was credited with the first TD of the game.

In the third quarter the Seahawks ran an HB power run to the outside with Marshawn Linch and he didn't disappoint as he ran it 20+ yards to the house to tie the game at 10. The 49ers would counter attack with a great drive capped of by a great touchdown catch by Anquin Boldin to give the 49ers the 17-10 lead, but in the 4th everything would fall apart. the Seahawks would get another touchdown scored by Brandon Kearse, then they scored 2 more field goals so the 49ers would have to claw their way back, but Colin Kaepernick would throw 2 interceptions......one to chancellor and the other to Richard Sherman who batted down the pass intended for Crabtree and the Seahawks had the ball and the game.
